The multi award winning Chef and Sommelier team Joshua and Victoria Overington moved from their much loved and successful Le Cochon Aveugle to the picturesque village of Hovingham in North Yorkshire to open Restaurant Mýse - a larger fine dining restaurant with rooms.
Reviewed in the Telegraph as “This quietly confident restaurant with rooms on the edge of the Howardian Hills shows how to approach fine dining today. Expect a deft mix of playful and elegant dishes that pay homage to traditional Yorkshire cooking and a pleasingly relaxed dining experience. No wonder it was awarded a Michelin star just seven months after opening.”
The Naru chair, no stranger to the Overingtons as they had used the Artisan Naru at Le Cochon Aveugle, was chosen from the Treske range of dining chairs, to help create the relaxed and comfortable dining atmosphere, while watching the open kitchen prepare delicious locally sourced and foraged food.
Mýse is the Aglo Saxon word for “eating at the table” at which guests really discover how ingredients from ethical and sustainable farms the best small-scale producers and farmers from Yorkshire and the rest of the UK, along with foraged and preserved specialities, make for a special dining experience.
