What is a Shaker kitchen?
A Shaker kitchen is elegant, simple, practical, and well made with high levels of craftsmanship. Shaker kitchen design is characterised by flat door panels and surrounding frames. Shaker design gives you and your designer a great deal of flexibility with woods, handle or paint finishes.
Do you install Shaker kitchens near me?
From our base in Thirsk, we are ideally situated to install Shaker kitchens in Yorkshire and the North East, however, we regularly install Shaker kitchens right across the UK.
How much does a Shaker kitchen cost?
The cost of a Shaker kitchen can vary significantly depending on several factors. While the cabinetry typically constitutes around 40% of the total project cost, the final price is influenced by various elements such as appliances, work surfaces, and additional accessories chosen by the client.
As an estimate, the cabinetry alone in a Shaker kitchen can start from approximately £20,000. However, this figure may increase based on project complexity and the number of cabinets required.
For a more accurate assessment tailored to your specific needs and preferences, we offer free consultations at Treske. Feel free to reach out, and we'll be happy to discuss your requirements.
What are your painted kitchen doors made of?
Painted kitchens are extremely popular and can produce a sophisticated aesthetic. Tulipwood is the perfect material for painted frames and doors, as it paints so well. In a painted kitchen the door panels will be made in moisture restistant mdf. This avoids paint cracking around the panel edges that can happen as the panel changes shape with different humidities.
Are we limited by the colours available for our Shaker kitchen?
No, we can paint your Shaker kitchen in any colour you wish. We can also provide a colour matching service if you have a specific colour in mind.
We use Little Greene Intelligent Eggshell as standard, for a hard wearing, water resistant, great paint finish. Other paints and mixes are also used for specified colour, look and finish. Kitchens are primed, sprayed, and hand painted in the factory, then painted again when fitted.
