The Arts & Crafts home office was designed around the client's requirements to have a large open desk that could be used from both sides and big enough to set out papers, storage either side of a fireplace and a further storage cupboard, all made in oak in a classical Arts & Crafts style. Shelving with storage cupboards below is fitted to both sides of the fire surround so that all the space is utilised in a balanced and practical way.

The Arts & Crafts oak desk has a top chosen from quarter sawn timber, which is supported at each end by open parallel struts and a panel set between the two main supporting legs. Behind the desk is a special cupboard designed to have filing drawers set above storage cupboards and below generous drawers, giving easily accessible and flexible storage.
