This conversion of a single bedroom to create a useful working home office required careful design to accommodate the filing and book storage requirements. Spacing for the computer server within the base is conveniently positioned to the right of the desk area. Using a light pippy oak as a feature on drawer panels the office has great character. The desk space itself allows for good leg space and creates more depth for the user’s keyboard and computer screen by having a convex shaped worksurface. A small upstand at the back of the worksurface helps keep the wall and surfaces tidy. Below the worksurface is a wood cradle upon which the desk wiring is easily accessible and tidy.
Wall units were designed to fit short of the window to allow the curtains to open fully. The shelves are easily adjustable and useful for practical storage as well as display. Under the wall shelves lighting is positioned to illuminate the worksurface.
