Undercroft Bar, Christ Church College, Oxford University

Treske designed the bar area for the new Undercroft Bar at Christ Church College. The design had to fit in with the surroundings and be contemporary, incorporating secure spirit storage and displays behind tambour doors. Detailed planning was required for the bar surface and in particular the routing of python lines from beer kegs to pumps. The design incorporated brushed stainless-steel uprights and trims, with LED lighting that uses different colours to create alternative ambiences.

Seating consists of the Howe 40/4 chair, comfortable, strong and flexible, as well as in keeping with the surroundings. The matching tables have steel bases with oak tops.
