Display cabinets for public buildings, boardrooms, museums and churches are all made by Treske to different specifications depending on their required use. The combination of woodwork, lighting and glass can be used to great effect to display items to their best. Often display cabinets are part of a wider storage system - for example table and chair stores can have display cabinets as part of their construction, adding use to what are otherwise single function cabinets.
St Clement Danes in The Strand together with the RAF commissioned Treske to design and make two new solid oak memorial bookcases to join the other ten bookcases on the church walls. Each book of remembrance contains over 125,000 names of the RAF personnel who have died during active service.
The new Memorial bookcases are wall mounted and have a feature split arched support bracket.Made in oak with a dark ebonised stain they have been made to look as if they have always been in situ. The interior of the cabinet is lit and is pai
nted in the RAF blue.
